James Scheschuk - LHS class of 1963 - drafted in the 5th round out of Texas as a catcher in 1967 by LA Dodgers. Scheschuk played in 49 games for the 1967 Tri-City Atoms in the Northwest League at the A- level in professional baseball before retiring.

Brian Urlacher - LHS class of 1995 - drafted 9th in the first round out of University of New Mexico as a LB in 2000 by Chicago Bears - retired before the 2013 season from Chicago

John Carrell - LHS class of 1961 - drafted out of Texas Tech as a LB in 1965 by Pittsburg Steelers - played in 1966

Leo Lowery - LHS class of 1961 - drafted out of Texas Tech as a FB in 1965 by LA Rams

Coaches:

Virgil Boteler - Head football coach 1949-1955 - drafted in 12th round out of University of New Mexico as a center by Detroit Lions

 

Golf:

Ronnie Black - LHS class of 1977 - PGA professional - turned professional in 1981, made PGA debut 1982. Black was inducted into the Lea County Museum's Lea County Athletic Hall of Fame in 2010.

Sean Murphy - LHS class of 1984 - PGA professional - turned professional in 1988, made PGA debut 1990
